Class Lunch

Dear Parents,

This term, as part of our Homework Program, students were able to choose an end of term reward for completing all of their homework. They chose to have a class lunch. This class lunch will be held on Thursday the 6^th of April. Boys will be required to bring a plate of savoury food to share and girls will be required to bring a plate of sweet food.  There will be a class list on the door where you can indicate what you will be bringing.

This lunch will run between 12.00pm – 12.40pm so if you are bringing hot food in, just before 12pm would be a great time!

Literacy Pro

Room 16 is now off and running with the new reading program, Literacy Pro. It has been outstanding to see how many students have embraced this new challenge and have got reading! We have read over 200,000 words and taken more than 450 quizzes. Some super students in our class have already got their first certificates which were called out at assembly on Friday.

This is a fantastic reading program which is tailored to the students level of reading. It builds fluency and comprehension, so I encourage all students to be aiming for at least 3 quizzes per week. They are able to get new reading books from the library before and after school, Monday to Thursday, and we have a selection of books in our classroom too!

Congratulations!

We would like to congratulate Raj, Isabelle, Bella and Layla for winning merit certificates at the last assembly. What an amazing effort! You have all worked extremely hard and we couldn't be prouder.


Room 16 also won the Music Class award for being fantastic instrument players. What a wonderful achievement!
